35 $ million from the Ajmera family

The Ajmera family, founders of FGF Brands, gave the gift, bringing their giving to UHN to $62 million. UHN says it is the largest known donation in Canada to transplant care by a single family.

The Ajmera Transplant Institute is meant to be a global hub for organ transplants, research and education. It builds on the Ajmera Transplant Centre at Toronto General Hospital, the country's largest transplant program.
