Ontario's finance minister tables the fall economic statement Thursday

Ontario closed 2025-26 with a $13-billion deficit, and this year's is projected to be higher, in line with the spring budget's $13.8 billion.

Ontario is matching Ottawa's tax break for businesses' capital investments. Premier Doug Ford also announced more than $8 billion in joint funding for tariff-hit industries.
