The city's 6,600 blue-collar workers approved a six-year contract with raises of 23.7 per cent.

Members backed the deal by 78.5 per cent. The work week goes from 36 to 37 hours on May 1, 2027.

Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada says the deal brings more flexible work and limits subcontracting. Four municipal agreements, including the police's, are still to be negotiated.
