Québec solidaire says the PQ is backing away from a promised environmental review of the Port of Québec terminal

Québec solidaire MNAs Étienne Grandmont and Sol Zanetti asked new Environment Minister Jean Pellerin on Thursday to launch the promised BAPE review as soon as possible. According to the party, he would not repeat the commitment.

Background

Ottawa's impact assessment agency asked the port authority on Aug 10 to oversee the study under the federal Impact Assessment Act. The Table citoyenne Littoral-est, a citizens' group, says the port is "judge and party" in the project.
