After delays, US approves sale of 500 Patriot missiles to Ukraine

The State Department approved a US$2.1 billion sale of 500 PAC-3 Patriot interceptors, after Kyiv said deliveries had been delayed in recent months. It says no US funds are involved.

Ukraine will pay with donations from Canada, Germany and Norway through the JUMPSTART program, and with national funds financed by the European Union's Ukraine Support Loan.
