Desjardins sends some Interac transfers twice

2,000 pre-scheduled Interac transfers
Desjardins processed about 2,000 pre-scheduled Interac transfers twice on Sunday, the institution says.
Most were set for Nov 1, so many were rent payments. Desjardins plans no automatic refund, but says members will bear no financial cost.
Background
Desjardins says the problem is not linked to the new credit card management system rolled out in October, which left members unable to use some functions for several days.
What to do
Affected members should contact the recipient to get the money back. If the recipient has not accepted the transfer, the member can cancel it in AccèsD.
