More than one in eight Toronto children now rely on food banks

Toronto food banks recorded more than 4.1 million visits for the second year in a row, Daily Bread Food Bank's latest Who's Hungry report says.

The child rate is nearly double that of 2022, when one in 15 children relied on food banks. Children make up 25 per cent of food bank clients but 18 per cent of Toronto's population.
