Voters decide on Monday whether Alberta stays in Canada or holds a second, binding referendum on separation.

Roughly a million Albertans had already voted by Thursday night, about a third of all electors, according to Elections Alberta. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre also urged a vote to stay, telling a Calgary crowd that "Albertans are not quitters."
