Stellantis workers give Unifor a strike mandate
Voted for a strike mandate
97.3 %
Unifor says 97.3 per cent of members who voted over the weekend authorized a potential strike at Stellantis sites in Windsor, Toronto and Brampton, Ontario.
The next legal step
no-board report
A strike is not imminent: neither side has asked for a no-board report, a step Ontario labour law requires before job action.
The talks are stuck on job security and the Brampton assembly plant, idle since 2023, which Stellantis plans to sell to defence company Roshel.
Windsor Assembly Plant
Windsor, Ontario
In Windsor, home to about 70 per cent of Unifor's Stellantis members, the assembly plant began a new three-week shutdown on Monday, which the company blames on demand and tariffs.
