The Quebec cabinet sworn in Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. ET has 22 members, 23 with the premier, six fewer than Christine Fréchette's, according to reports.

Marie-Karlynn Laflamme is to take Health and Joël Arseneau Education, while Nicolas Marceau returns to Finance and Alain Therrien heads the Treasury Board.

What's next

Laflamme, the MNA for Chicoutimi, is to abolish Santé Québec, as the Parti Québécois leader promised, and Arseneau is to launch an estates general on education next winter.

The Parti Québécois elected no MNA in the Quebec City region on Oct 5, and an announcement on the region's place in cabinet is expected after the swearing-in.
