The PQ concedes Champlain to the Conservatives during a judicial recount

Initial margin

191 votes

Initial results gave Conservative Adriana Szalontai 191 more votes than the Parti québécois's René Branchaud in the Mauricie riding.

The PQ had asked for the recount, alleging 180 irregular ballots could have affected the result, and the Court of Quebec agreed. It conceded while the count was under way, making Szalontai the riding's MNA.

Conservatives

19 seats

PQ

60 seats

The Conservative Party of Quebec confirms its 19th seat. The PQ holds 60, after winning Vachon from the Liberals by three votes in another recount that the Liberals will appeal.
