Montreal police officer allegedly deleted a domestic violence victim's video evidence
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) says an officer at a Montréal-Nord neighbourhood station faces allegations of destroying evidence, in an incident dating to 2025.
According to reports, a woman who called for help opened her phone to show videos of threats and assaults. The officer allegedly recognized her partner and erased the content in front of his partner, who then told two sergeants; they allegedly did not act.
